CLEVELAND, Ohio – A pair of former Cleveland Guardians pitchers – Nick Goody and Nick Wittgren – are scheduled to be featured speakers at the 455 Club’s lunch on Saturday, Aug. 30.
The gathering is 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Harry Buffalo’s, a few blocks from Progressive Field.
The event with the former relievers includes Q and A, autograph and photo session, prizes and auction.
Goody spent six years in the Majors, his last being the 2020 season. He played two years with the New York Yankees, then three with Cleveland and a final campaign in Texas. With Cleveland he was 4-6 and had a 3.53 ERA.
Wittgren played eight years in the bigs: Three with Miami, three with Cleveland and a season each with St. Louis and Kansas City. He was 20-15 in his career. Wittgren last played in 2023.
The 455 Club brings in former and current players for brunches and lunches. Previous ones have included manager Stephen Vogt, Omar Vizquel, Sam Hentges, Will Brennan, Eli Morgan and others.

Cost is $59 ($49, club members). It’s $39 for ages 10 and under.
