Normandy football: Rising depth suits Invaders — 2025 camp tour

PARMA, Ohio — Depth is no problem at Normandy.

Between the senior and junior classes, coach Ian Kost has nearly 50 players between those two grade levels on the football team.

“We have 20 seniors, which is the most I’ve had, and we have 27 juniors,” he said Friday during a 7-on-7 passing scrimmage at Byers Field. “The entire offseason, they did everything I asked them to do. They showed up. They paid the price and put the time in. And now it’s time to eat.”

Kost promised this team will be aggressive, but it will do so without record-setting quarterback Elijah Gray. He left Normandy as its all-time leading rusher. Kost expects to make up for his production with a committee, led by senior running back Rajanard Brown.

The passing game, led by junior quarterback Jakob Muniak, will be bolstered by a college prospect in sophomore tight end Brody Tusai.
