Sara Burack, who starred in the reality TV show “Million Dollar Beach House” on Netflix, died after she was struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run at the Hamptons, reports say.
According to NBC News, a suspect has been arrested in connection with the incident. Amanda Kempton, 32, of Virginia, has been charged with leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident in which a fatality occurred.
Deadline reports Burack, 40, was found unconscious on a road in Hampton Bays at about 2:45 a.m. She was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital but died of her injuries, Dan’s Papers reports.
Burack, a real estate agent, was part of the cast of “Million Dollar Beach House” in 2020, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The show focused on several agents selling high-end properties in the Hamptons.
NBC News reports Kempton has pleaded not guilty and was released on bail. The New York Post reports Kempton’s lawyer says the defendant thought she hit a traffic cone.
